The food is amazing usually when I go to a Jamaican food place either the chicken is dry or the rice is crispy or the plantains are like shoe leather...but with this place everything is perfect all the time this is my go to place each and every time yeah the guy at the counter is a little hard to understand sometimes but that's ok because I'm not Jamaican but it's authentic and great every time
Authentic Jamaican food. Spiced well and not spicy hot. They make their beef patties in house. Their stewed chicken was fall off the bone tender and very flavourful. Enjoy a ginger beer with your meal it compliments the food well. Lunch specials are choice of 3 different chicken preperations a rice side of your choice for 6.00
That Brown stew Chicken was soo Good . I dont think I've had a better version of Chicken in Gravy Before . It was Super duper tender yet not falling apart in the gravy . That gravy with rice was Perfection. Jerk Chicken was Great was Well but the Goat curry could have been better in my opinion. It did have Potatoes which I despise in a curry as they suck the flavor from the gravy . We dined in and service was alright .
Went on a Tuesday morning right after it had opened. Was greeted by Dancehall music and a very nice cashier. At that time in the morning only the Chicken Curry and one other dish was available for purchase. There was also a batch of freshly made patties that were available for sale. I took my stash of chicken curry and two patties to take care of a few errands and felt solid for many hours. I can't wait to go back for the oxtails This isn't a very high end fancy type of restaurant but it has great prices and makes me want to visit Jamaica.
